Taking a little time FO MAH SEFF.

The last two mornings, I’ve done a 20 minute yoga practice and 5 minutes of mindful meditation before I started my regular morning routine. This is part of my plan to take action on my general level of anxiety, put MYSELF in the top priority spot on never-ending list of daily tasks, and be healthier in mind, body and soul.

I like the morning yoga and meditation. I hope that it is something I can make a habit of. Years ago, when I was really into the long-distance races, my internal training mantra to get through the hard parts of the long runs, the tough hills and the speed training was (somewhat stupidly) “Good job, big girl.” Don’t judge. For some reason, it did it for me.

This morning, I “Good job, big girl”-ed myself for the first time in a long time.

It felt rad.
